Gourmetour Awards 2010/2011

Since the new guidelines have come Gourmet, and they can overtake the Gourmetour Awards winners to be delivered in 2010/2011 the XXIV edition of the International Gourmet Club to be held in Madrid in the Parque Juan Carlos I, from 12 to 15 April 2010, in the food section:

Restaurant of the Year: El Celler de Can Roca (Girona)
Inn of the Year: Marques de Riscal (The Blind-La Rioja)
Foreign cuisine restaurant of the year: Kabuki Wellington (Madrid)
Chef of the Year: Dani Garcia (Restaurant Calima-Marbella-Malaga)
Maître year: Maite Echezarreta (Restaurante Principe de Viana, Madrid)
Sommelier of the Year: Gemma Vela (Restaurant Goya-Madrid)
Dessert of the Year: Urrechu (Pozuelo de Alarcón-Madrid)
Cheese plate of the year (ex aequo): Ganbara (San Sebastian), Taberna Laredo (Madrid)
Gastronomy Shop of the Year: The Gourmet Club "The English Court
Special Recognition: Gourmet Desserts

Winery of the Year: Bodegas Hermanos Perez Easter, for its consistent quality in all their wines and their humanity.
Best Young White: Albariño Do Ferreiro, DO Ferreiro-Bodega de Gerardo Mendez: DO Rías Baixas
Best white Vintage: Vallegarcía Viognier, Vallegarcía Payment - VT de Castilla
Best Pink: Bodegas Hermanos Sastre Viña Sastre, Ribera del Duero

Best Specialty store: Bodegas Santa Cecilia de Madrid
Special Award: Mariano Garcia, for his career, honesty, quality of their wines and a life linked to wine knowledge and its dissemination.
