Spain and Portugal Michelin Guide 2010

The 2010 edition of the Guide quintessential dining this time celebrates its 100th year with a case which also includes a facsimile edition of the first edition, a piece of history that allows us to appreciate the profound changes that have had during the century life of the Guide Michelin in Spain and Portugal began as a practical guide and free practical information on mechanics and has become a gastronomic landmark worldwide.

Nearly five thousand establishments in Spain and Portugal appear on this occasion, with such innovations as the icon "Bib Gourmand", which identifies 235 establishments offering quality cuisine at a maximum price of 35 €, or the "Bib Hotel" which makes same with 60 hotels offering quality services with a majority of rooms at the maximum price of 55 € the double room, in the provinces, and 65 €, in big cities and major resorts. Do not forget to indicate the nice, quiet or adapted for disabled guests.

The guide also has 174 planes of 129 cities and 34 regional maps, on which stands the best establishments to sample the cuisine of the peninsula, which ranks with one star (very good in their category, are interesting detours on the route) , two (excellent in its category, it is worth a detour to visit) and three (exceptional, it is worth going there specifically).

Regarding changes in the stars of Spain, the full list can be seen in our review of the presentation of the Guide, but include such innovations as the third star for El Celler de Can Roca or second to Casa Marcial, Lasarte - Hotel Condes de Barcelona, La Terraza del Casino and Les Cols.
